Über mich - About me

Seit ich denken kann, war ich fasziniert von Malerei und  Fotografie. Kunst war ein Schwerpunkt während meiner Schulzeit. Was als Hobby begann, wurde  im Lauf der Jahre immer mehr zu einer Notwendigkeit. Meine erste Spiegelreflexkamera sparte ich mir über viele Monate zusammen und das Glücksgefühl, als ich die ersten Abzüge ansah, kann ich heute noch fühlen.

Mit dem Beginn der digitalen Ära und meiner gleichzeitig wachsenden Leidenschaft für den Computer, war auch meine Liebe zur Bildbearbeitung geboren. Ich lernte autodidaktisch nach dem " trial and error " Prinzip, sah mir Video Tutorials an.

Ich nahm Unterricht bei verschiedenen Malern , tastete mich langsam von der abstrakten zur gegenständlichen Malerei vor und erkannte, dass Malerei und Fotografie Schwestern sind. Berührungspunkte wie Fantasie, Kreativität, Mut zur Ungewöhnlichkeit und die Suche nach neuen, noch nie dagewesenen Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten verbinden beide Kunstformen.

Mit der digitalen Bildbearbeitung von heute lassen sich Malerei, Grafik und Fotografie in einem kreativen Prozess verschmelzen und eröffnen nicht nur neue Formen des Ausdrucks, sondern auch der Verfügbarkeit. 

Ein dreijähriger Aufenthalt in Chile beschenkte mich mit neuen Impulsen und Inspirationen. Ich begann, meine Welt mit anderen Augen zu betrachten, mit den Augen des Malers und des Fotografen....

Ich bleibe weiter auf diesem Weg und bin gespannt, wo er mich hinführt.

As long as I can remember I have been fascinated by painting and photography.

Art was the main focus during my last school years. It started as a hobby, but as years went by, it turned into a " must".  I saved for months until I was able to buy my first SLR camera and still today, I can feel the profound happiness I experienced while looking at the very first prints of my pictures. 

When the digital era started, my passion for working with a PC was growing at the same time. So it was just natural for me to discover my love for editing pics. I was learning by doing, trial and error and a couple of  video tutorials.

Taking lessons with various painters, I felt my way from abstract to objective painting till I finally discovered that painting and photography were sisters.

Points of contact like fantasy, creativity, the courage to create the unusual and the search for unprecedented modes of expression are the link between both art forms.

With today's digital picture editing,  painting, graphics and photography can be blended in a creative process and this allows not only new forms of expression, but also of availability.

A three years stay in Chile gifted me new stimuli and inspiration. I started to see my world with different eyes, the eyes of a painter and photograph....

I will stay on this path and I wonder, where it leads me.
